We are a private hospitality discovery platform—not a government website—and we are not a booking engine; reservations occur on hotel or third-party sites.
We collect information in three ways: (A) you provide it to us, (B) it’s provided by hotels/partners, and (C) we collect it automatically.
Contact & account info: name, email, phone, password (hashed), military/affiliation selection if you choose to share it for rate eligibility notes.
Inquiries & support: message content and attachments you send us (e.g., to report listing inaccuracies).
Hotel partner details (B2B): property contact, listing details, billing contact for nominal listing fees (where applicable).
Listing content: hotel descriptions, amenities (e.g., parking, safety features), photos, policies, and available rates/links.

Usage data: pages viewed, referring URLs, device/browser type, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP (city/region level).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (e.g., health, precise geolocation, or government ID numbers) through the website. Do not submit such data to us via forms.
We use information to:
Operate the site: run search, filters, account login, and partner listings.
Provide support & fix issues: respond to inquiries and correct listing inaccuracies.
Improve the experience: analyze performance, detect errors, and enhance features.

Troop Hotels does not collect or accept commissions—direct or indirect—for directing guests to hotels. We may charge hotels a nominal listing fee to maintain the platform; this fee is waived for DHI hotels. We do not add fees to guest prices directly or indirectly.
We use essential cookies to operate the site and may use performance/analytics cookies to understand how visitors use TroopHotels.com (e.g., page load timing, feature usage).
You can control cookies via your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may break some features.
If we ever add advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, we will update this Notice and provide opt-out tools.
Current stance: We do not sell personal information or engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may share limited information with:
Service providers/Processors: hosting, security, analytics, email delivery, customer support—only to operate the Services, under contract.
Hotels/partners (B2B): your messages to us about a specific listing may be forwarded to the hotel to investigate and correct issues.
Legal & safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights, safety, and property.
Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred consistent with this Notice.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Hotel reservations, payments, and loyalty programs occur on third-party sites. Their privacy policies—not ours—govern those interactions. Review them carefully before booking.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
